Ohio State does a great job of helping motivated staff help themselves through development programs and grant. Two grants are coming up in mid-September that can help academic staff reach their goals, whether your first love is research or education.
Research: Fischer Leadership Research Grant Program. The Fisher Leadership Initiative at Fisher College of Business is accepting proposals for its second annual Leadership Research Grant Program. The Fisher College of Business invites researchers from colleges and units across Ohio State to submit projects for consideration. The Fisher Leadership Initiative intends to award $50,000 in grants to eligible projects. The deadline to apply is Friday, Sept. 14. Teaching and Learning: Affordable Learning Exchange grants Ohio State has designed ALX grants specifically for instructors who want to transform their courses to increase affordability and accessibility to all students. The Office of Distance Education and eLearning sponsors these grants, because when it comes to lowering student costs, technology is a great way forward. The Affordable Learning Exchange (ALX) is requesting proposals to participate in its next cohort. In sponsoring more than 50 projects, the ALX program has already saved students more than $3 million. ALX projects encourage teaching innovation and fulfill Ohio State’s land-grant mission by creating and sharing open educational resources. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Sept. 12.
