Positions are a three-year commitment. Executive Board nominees must be current ASFW members prior to submitting your application. Join or renew here! Expect to commit three to five hours per month to the role.
The deadline to submit your application has been extended to Friday, April 19th 2024 at 5:00pm EST. Voting will take place electronically late April 2024. Only those with ASFW memberships current as of February 1, 2024 will be eligible to vote.

- Advancement Co-Chair: Fundraising: Leads all fundraising efforts in with help from Advancement Committee (including academic year, Ballam Symposium, Giving Tuesday, Campus Campaign, etc.), sets goals in accordance with capacity and need of the organization; works collaboratively with Advancement Chair: Stewardship; coordinates with the communications and marketing chair on the creation of materials.
- Advancement Co-Chair: Stewardship: Leads stewardship and donor relations efforts with help from Advancement Committee (including sponsor appreciation, collection of logos and content for acknowledgement, adherence to benefits commitments, tracking and sharing impact, etc.); works collaboratively with Advancement Chair: Fundraising; coordinates with the communications and marketing chair on the creation of materials.
- Communications and Marketing Chair: Develops and implements marketing, publicity, and communication strategies. Creates and sends monthly emails/ASFW newsletters. Leads management of LinkedIn, other social media outlets, and various campus newsletters. Helps ensure that photographs and videos are taken at various programs throughout the year. This role works with one other marketing co-chair.
- Programs Co-Chair for Event Management: Leads guest services such as registration, distribution of post-event surveys and coordination of any volunteers and other day-of event needs for both in-person and virtual events. Also works closely with the Programs Co-Chairs for Logistics and Content Development to help brainstorm topics, schedule speakers, craft marketing language, reserve venues/locations or set up virtual program access, secure catering (as needed) and execute other necessary tasks.
- Programs Co-Chair: Content Development: Work collaboratively with the other Programs Co-Chairs to brainstorm programs and events that align with ASFW’s mission and embody the theme for the year; coordinate and manage all details regarding program planning and evaluation for at least one program per month throughout the academic year; this position is specifically responsible for speaker scheduling, content planning and development of marketing language.
- Conferences Co-Chair: Coordinates and manages all conference details in collaboration with members of the relevant committee (or committees), which include, but are not limited to: reservation of venues/locations, catering and other core logistics; researching and contracting with keynote speakers and participants; drafting and providing promotional language for distribution; and guest services such as support with registration, distribution of post-conference surveys, and coordination of any volunteers and other day-of event needs.
- Secretary: The ASFW Secretary records and distributes meeting minutes, retains historical archive materials, prepares in narrative, brief, or outline form a chronological account or record of past or current events dealing with all ASFW activities.
