Women in Business: You're a Threat, Own It! - September 1, 2020 Dr. Tanya Menon shared her research on how selective incivility indicates that people feel particularly empowered to direct disrespect towards women, minorities, and particularly female minorities. Over the years, the women she's worked with (junior/ senior, diverse ethnicities) have shared with her their experiences with these situations and their responses. She describes her own research in this area, and some recommendations to stand your ground in these situations. Dr. Menon's presentation at TEDxOhioStateUniversity was also featured on ted.com.
